Remembering Satoshi Kon

This year marks 10th year since Satoshi Kon passed away at the age of 46. His influence has only grown stronger since his death, including receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Annie Awards. While the festival will honor the achievements of the Hokkaido-born director by screening four feature films, Perfect Blue, Millenial Actress, Tokyo Godfathers and Paprika, one each day during the festival,
this talk session invites Masao Maruyama (producer) and Nobutaka Ike (background artist) to revisit his achievements to share his timeless talent.

ゲストプロフィール

丸山正雄（マッドハウス創設者、プロデューサー）

アニメーションプロデューサー。元・株式会社マッドハウス取締役社長、現・MAPPA取締役会長、スタジオM2代表取締役社長。大学卒業後、虫プロダクション勤務を経てアニメーション制作会社「マッドハウス」を設立。その後も制作会社「MAPPA」、続いて「スタジオM2」を立ち上げる。日本アニメの黎明期から活躍し、現在に至るまで数多くの作品をプロデュース。代表作に、TVシリーズでは『DEATH NOTE』『はじめの一歩』『ちはやふる』、劇場作品では『時をかける少女』『サマーウォーズ』『パプリカ』『この世界の片隅に』などがある。

池信孝（アニメーション美術監督）

美術監督。『パーフェクトブルー』（1998）に始まり、『千年女優』（2002）、『東京ゴッドファーザーズ』（2003）、『妄想代理人』（2004）、『パプリカ』（2006）と、今敏監督の全作品で美術監督を務める。他の美術監督担当作品に『空の境界』（2007・08）や『クロムクロ』（2016）など。東京国際アニメフェアにて、2003年に『千年女優』、2004年に『東京ゴッドファーザーズ』で美術賞を受賞。
